Serfaus lies about 1,400 m above sea level on the sunny terrace of Tyrol together with the neighboring villages of Fiss and Ladis and enjoys more than 2,000 hours of sunshine per year. In the village there is a traffic-calming concept that increases quality of life and safety. Traffic is strictly controlled and limited. For convenient transport of guests to the cable car, there is a free underground railway. The Serfaus village railway even holds a Guinness World Record as the smallest and highest air-cushion underground railway in the world.
